Con Cuong commune has arranged 7 evacuation sites for people to move to safe flood shelters.
Currently, more than 1,000 people are taking refuge from the floods at the headquarters of Pu Mat National Park.

The sudden flood on the night of July 22nd and the early morning of July 23rd affected 19 out of 36 villages in the commune.Con CuongThe area was submerged in water, ranging from 1 to 3 meters deep. Additionally, 360 households were severely affected. Authorities have relocated these residents to higher ground to avoid the flooding.

To help people find safe shelter, the communeCon CuongSeven evacuation sites have been arranged, including: the headquarters of Pu Mat National Park; the former headquarters of the Con Cuong Town Committee; the former headquarters of the District People's Procuracy; the former headquarters of the Con Cuong District Military Command; the meeting hall of Block 2, Con Cuong Commune; the Con Cuong Health Center; and the former office of the People's Organizations of Con Cuong District.

According to Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Director of Pu Mat National Park: "At this time, more than 1,000 people are being evacuated here. The park has arranged accommodation and meals to ensure the people's well-being"... Meanwhile, more than 20 people are also sheltering from the flood at the Con Cuong Medical Center.
