The Nam Mo Hydropower Plant is scheduled to release water to lower the reservoir level starting at 5:30 AM on December 22nd. The purpose is to check the sedimentation of the reservoir bed and water intake gates, and to maintain the lifting and lowering equipment of the spillway gates.

At 9:00 AM on December 20th, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 11 dated December 20th from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation regarding the operation and regulation of the Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir.

Accordingly, the Nam Mo Hydropower Plant plans to release water to lower the reservoir level in order to check the sedimentation of the reservoir bed and water intake gates, and to maintain the lifting and lowering equipment of the spillway gates after the 2024 rainy season.
To ensure the safe operation and regulation of the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir operating procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to release water from the Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:
Expected time for water release through the spillway gates and sand discharge culverts:
Starting at 5:30 AM, Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Discharge rate:
Approximately 100 m3/s (less than the water flow through the two generators).
Estimated completion time:
Until the plant finishes its work and resumes power generation.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense hereby informs: the People's Committee of Ky Son District and the heads of provincial departments, agencies, and the Road Management Area 2.

To inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Nam Mo Hydropower Plant so that necessary measures can be taken to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
