Discharge to lower water level of Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoir
It is expected that from 05:30 on December 22, Nam Mo Hydropower Plant will release water to lower the lake water level. The purpose is to check the sedimentation status of the lake bed, water intake and maintain the equipment system to lift and lower the spillway gates.
At 9:00 a.m. on December 20, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 11 dated December 20 from Nghe An Energy Development Corporation on the operation and regulation of Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir.

Accordingly, Nam Mo Hydropower Plant plans to discharge water to lower the lake water level to check the sedimentation of the lake bed, water intake gates and maintain the equipment system to lift and lower the spillway gates after the flood season in 2024.
To ensure the safe operation and regulation of water at Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to release water from Nam Mo Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of water discharge through spillway gates and sand discharge sluices:Starting at 05:30, Sunday 12/22/2024.
Discharge flow:About 100 m3/s (less than water flow through 2 generators).
Estimated completion time:Until the plant finishes work and generates power again.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Ky Son District People's Committee and heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors, and Road Management Area 2.
To notify authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Nam Mo Hydropower Plant to know and carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and People.
