Xã Lăng Thành (Yên Thành) đón Bằng công nhận đạt chuẩn nông thôn mới nâng cao
On the evening of August 25th, the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the commune as having achieved advanced new rural standards.
Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Internal Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Danh Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; representatives from the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office, along with leaders of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee and People's Committee.
Lang Thanh is a semi-mountainous commune in the northern part of Yen Thanh district, with 2,110 households and 8,777 inhabitants. Recognizing that building new rural areas is a continuous process with a starting point but no end, the Party committee, government, political system, and people consider this a key political task.
After the commune was recognized as a New Rural Area in 2018, officials, Party members, and the people of Lang Thanh commune continued to build and improve the quality of the criteria, mobilizing a large number of people to participate, leveraging the strength of the entire population, mobilizing all resources, and taking advantage of support from all levels and sectors to complete the advanced new rural area criteria according to the set of advanced new rural area criteria for the 2021-2025 period.
National defense and security are ensured; the material and spiritual lives of the people are increasingly improved. The political system is always strengthened and consolidated, and internal unity is strong. For many years, the situation has remained stable, and the commune has continued to develop sustainably. In 2023, the Party Committee was recognized as a "Model Party Committee that has excellently fulfilled its tasks".
Annual economic growth rate exceeded 9%. In 2023, total production value at constant prices reached nearly 292 billion VND; per capita income in 2023 reached nearly 58 million VND/person/year, three times higher than in 2015; the multidimensional poverty rate decreased to 1.79%.
Cultural facilities have received significant investment, with social mobilization efforts focused on building cultural infrastructure at government offices, multi-functional buildings, and stadiums. Schools at all levels continue to receive investment to meet teaching and learning needs, with all three levels—preschool, primary, and lower secondary—meeting national standards.
Cultural and sports centers in the seven hamlets have been invested in and upgraded, resulting in modern, clean, and beautiful facilities. Healthcare and rural environmental landscapes are ensured, with a health insurance participation rate of 96.49%. The cultural and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved, and traditional values and national cultural identity are preserved and promoted.
The irrigation canal system is maintained, repaired, and newly constructed annually to meet the irrigation and drainage needs of the entire commune. The electricity network has been upgraded, renovated, and replaced to ensure sufficient capacity and grid safety, serving the daily life, production, and business activities of the people.
By the end of 2023, Lang Thanh commune had achieved 19 out of 19 criteria for advanced new rural communes according to the National Criteria Set for Advanced New Rural Communes for the period 2021-2025. This was completed one year earlier than the Resolution of the 24th Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

Phát biểu chỉ đạo tại buổi lễ, đồng chí Hoàng Danh Truyền - Phó Chủ tịch UBND huyện Yên Thành biểu dương những thành quả của xã Lăng Thành đạt được trong thực hiện Chương trình Mục tiêu Quốc gia xây dựng nông thôn mới.
Đồng thời, đề nghị Đảng bộ, chính quyền xã Lăng Thành tiếp tục nâng cao chất lượng, phát huy vai trò của Mặt trận Tổ quốc xã và các tổ chức chính trị - xã hội trong xây dựng nông thôn mới, để xây dựng, duy trì và nâng cao chất lượng các tiêu chí đã đạt; đồng thời, rà soát, lập kế hoạch để tiếp tục xây dựng xã đạt chuẩn nông thôn mới kiểu mẫu trong thời gian tới.
Huy động lồng ghép các nguồn lực trong xây dựng nông thôn mới nhằm tạo nguồn lực đủ mạnh, đồng bộ để xây dựng và nâng cao các tiêu chí, trong đó, nguồn lực của nhân dân đóng vai trò quyết định, phát huy thế mạnh của địa phương và tiếp tục tuyên truyền, vận động mọi tầng lớp nhân dân chung tay, góp sức xây dựng nông thôn mới, xây dựng quê hương xã Lăng Thành ngày càng giàu, đẹp, văn minh./.
