Nghia Tien Commune (Thai Hoa Town): Striving to achieve the new rural development goals.

The New Rural Development Program has brought about a vibrant transformation for Nghia Tien. Village cultural centers have been renovated and upgraded; roads have been improved and widened; and thanks to the town's production support policies, the people of Nghia Tien are gradually improving their gardens, planting and raising valuable crops and livestock, leading to a steady increase in income and living standards.

According to Vu Duc Tai, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghia Tien commune: The commune had developed a plan to achieve the New Rural Area status by the end of 2016. However, the commune's Party Committee is determined to achieve the New Rural Area status by the end of 2015.

Accordingly, along with mobilizing the people to boost production movements and improve living standards, the commune focused on renovating the transportation and irrigation systems and the village cultural centers according to new criteria. With timely support from the town, Nghia Tien implemented the construction of transportation, irrigation, cultural centers, schools, etc. The entire commune simultaneously launched the New Rural Development program, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition.

Alongside improving technical infrastructure criteria, the commune is leveraging all resources to support production development. In addition to the town's policies supporting plant and animal breeds, businesses in the area are helping to create jobs for poor households...

Hamlet 4 has 98% of its households belonging to the Tho ethnic group, but it has effectively mobilized contributions from the people to build rural roads. Within 3 months, the people of Hamlet 4 built 2 km of concrete road with a total cost of over 200 million VND (an average contribution of 230,000 VND per person, with one household contributing as much as 2.3 million VND). Hamlet 4 head, Ho Van Le, said: "The consensus and support of the people are crucial factors in the hamlet's achievement of the goal of building village roads and alleys. It is thanks to the efforts of Hamlet 4 that the entire commune has been encouraged and motivated to strive towards achieving the New Rural Area (NRA) goals."

Implementing the New Rural Development program, Nghia Tien commune mobilized nearly 120 billion VND to fulfill the criteria, including over 60 billion VND from the budgets of various levels of government, nearly 40 billion VND contributed by the people, and the remainder from other sources. In particular, the commune invested nearly 28.2 billion VND to asphalt and concrete nearly 100% of village and hamlet roads, covering 29.3/29.3 km of commune and hamlet roads; and hardened 7.6 km of alleyways. To ensure irrigation for production, the commune invested over 18.6 billion VND to upgrade the irrigation system; and over 8 billion VND for the commune's kindergarten cluster...
