Water will be released from the Ban Ang hydroelectric reservoir starting at 8 PM today.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense has just issued urgent notice No. 105/TB-VP.PCTT regarding the operation of water release from the Ban Ang hydroelectric reservoir in Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, starting at 8 PM today.
At 4:03 PM, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 01/2024/TB-NMNN dated July 21, 2024, from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the release of water from the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir.
To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir operating procedures on the Ca River basin, and taking into account the hydrological conditions at the site, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to discharge water from the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir as follows:
Expected water discharge time:8:00 PM, July 21, 2024.
Discharge rate: The total expected discharge rate is approximately... 200m3/s to
500m3/S(including discharge through spillway gates and power generation units).
The expected time for completely ceasing water discharge over the spillway is when the water inflow into the reservoir drops below 189.6 m.3/S.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense hereby informs: the People's Committee of Tuong Duong District and the heads of provincial departments, agencies, and the Road Management Area 2 to notify all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
