Quan Thanh commune has an area of ​​37.71 km²with 29 hamlets, 7,757 households, population 29,929 people. The Party Committee has 49 affiliated Party cells, with 1,359 Party members. Before 1953, the areas of Bac Thanh, Trung Thanh, and Nam Thanh belonging to the commune were called Quan Thanh. Therefore, after July 1, 2025, when merging communes, using this name for the new commune after the merger shows the inheritance of local history, and at the same time carries the meaning of solidarity and unity.

In the past term, despite facing many difficulties, Quan Thanh commune has achieved impressive economic growth. The average growth rate in the period 2020 - 2025 reached 8.38%/year. In 2025, the total production value of the whole commune at comparable prices is estimated to reach 1,590 billion VND. Average income per capita is estimated to reach 70 million VND/year, 1.5 times higher than in 2020, of which revenue from trade and services accounts for an increasingly large proportion.

Taking advantage of the local potential and advantages, Quan Thanh commune has focused on restructuring agriculture associated with building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.

Accordingly, agricultural production has gradually shifted towards commodity production, applying high technology, diversifying crops and livestock. Many new varieties and modern techniques have been introduced into production, helping to increase productivity and product value.

Along with agriculture, industry and construction continue to grow quite strongly, with production value estimated at 775.7 billion VND in 2025, an average increase of 11.91% per year. The industries of mining, agricultural processing, construction materials production, civil carpentry, etc. create stable jobs for many workers.

In particular, the Leather Shoe Factory with an investment capital of 690 billion VND of a foreign enterprise has created jobs for nearly 6,000 workers, becoming a highlight in attracting investment. The infrastructure system has received investment attention with many traffic works, schools, medical stations, canals, cultural institutions... contributing to creating a new look for the countryside.

The trade and service sector has developed strongly, with an estimated production value of 414,013 million VND in 2025, an average increase of 10.35% per year. Services such as transportation, food, repair, e-commerce, and cashless payment have developed rapidly. Tourism has initially taken shape with ecological and spiritual products based on the advantages of the Gam temple complex.

The private economy also made an important mark. The whole commune currently has 612 individual production and business households, accounting for 14.8% of the total number of households, operating mainly in the fields of trade, services, handicrafts, animal husbandry, and small construction. The average revenue of this sector is about 65 billion VND/year; the common income is from 120 - 180 million VND/household/year. In addition, in the area there are 12 private enterprises, LLCs and 1 FDI enterprise, creating jobs for nearly 6,360 workers with an income of 8-12 million VND/person/month, making an important contribution to the commune budget.

In recent years, the commune has also facilitated 3 off-budget projects with a total capital of about 50 billion VND, focusing on the production of construction materials, agricultural processing and services. This is the premise for forming production - consumption chains, linked to local potential and advantages.

By 2025, the rate of cultural families in the locality will reach 92%. Cultural and sports facilities at the grassroots level will continue to receive investment attention. In the commune, 16 new houses have been built and 13 village cultural houses have been repaired, ensuring community living conditions for the people. Family work and domestic violence prevention and control have been promoted, creating positive effects in society.

The achievements in recent years have become a solid foundation for the Quan Thanh Commune Party Committee to confidently enter the new term.

In the period of 2025 - 2030, the commune sets the following general goals: Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting democracy, strengthening solidarity and discipline; promoting innovation and creativity, implementing comprehensive digital transformation, developing science and technology; taking advantage of opportunities associated with mobilizing and effectively using resources, promoting economic growth, appropriate structural transformation, having synchronous and gradually modern infrastructure; maintaining national defense and security; ensuring social security, comprehensively and synchronously developing cultural fields, constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people; building advanced new rural areas; bringing Quan Thanh commune to develop rapidly and sustainably.

The commune strives to achieve an average economic growth rate of 12-13%/year; average income per capita of 100-110 million VND; annual budget revenue exceeding 50 billion VND. The essential infrastructure system is completed with 95% of roads paved, 100% of schools meeting national standards, and the poverty rate reduced to less than 1%. At the same time, every year 90% of grassroots Party organizations complete their tasks well, of which 20% achieve excellent performance; admitting new Party members on average 3%/year.

To realize the above goals, Quan Thanh commune focuses on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; building an honest, active government close to the people. The locality also focuses on developing high-tech commodity agriculture, encouraging collective economic and digital economic models, gradually forming value chains.
