Quan Thanh commune has an area of ​​37.71 km².²With 29 hamlets, 7,757 households, and a population of 29,929 people, the Party Committee has 49 subordinate branches with 1,359 Party members. Before 1953, the areas of Bac Thanh, Trung Thanh, and Nam Thanh belonged to a commune called Quan Thanh. Therefore, after July 1, 2025, when the communes are merged, using this name for the new merged commune reflects the inheritance of local history and also signifies unity and solidarity.

Over the past term, despite facing numerous difficulties, Quan Thanh commune has achieved impressive economic growth. The average growth rate for the period 2020-2025 reached 8.38% per year. By 2025, the total value of production in the commune at comparable prices is estimated to reach 1,590 billion VND. Average per capita income is estimated at 70 million VND per year, 1.5 times higher than in 2020, with revenue from trade and services increasingly accounting for a larger proportion.

Taking advantage of the local potential and strengths, Quan Thanh commune has focused on restructuring agriculture in conjunction with building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.

Accordingly, agricultural production is gradually shifting towards a commodity-based approach, applying high technology and diversifying crops and livestock. Many new varieties and modern techniques have been introduced into production, helping to increase productivity and enhance product value.

Alongside agriculture, the industrial and construction sectors continue to experience relatively high growth, with estimated production value reaching 775.7 billion VND in 2025, an average annual increase of 11.91%. Industries such as agricultural product extraction and processing, building materials production, and civil carpentry provide stable employment for many workers.

In particular, the leather shoe factory, with an investment of 690 billion VND from a foreign enterprise, has created jobs for nearly 6,000 workers, becoming a highlight in attracting investment. Infrastructure has received significant investment, with numerous projects including transportation, schools, health stations, canals, and cultural facilities, contributing to a new look for the rural area.

The trade and service sector has experienced strong growth, with production value estimated at 414,013 million VND in 2025, an average annual increase of 10.35%. Transportation, food and beverage, repair, e-commerce, and cashless payment services are developing rapidly. Tourism is beginning to take shape with eco-tourism and spiritual products based on the advantages of the Gám temple-pagoda-mountain complex.

The private sector also plays a significant role; the entire commune currently has 612 individual production and business households, accounting for 14.8% of the total households, mainly operating in the fields of trade, services, handicrafts, livestock farming, and small-scale construction. Average revenue in this sector reaches approximately 65 billion VND/year; common income ranges from 120 to 180 million VND/household/year. In addition, there are 12 private enterprises, limited liability companies, and 1 FDI enterprise in the area, creating jobs for nearly 6,360 workers with incomes of 8-12 million VND/person/month, making a significant contribution to the commune's budget.

In recent years, the commune has also facilitated three non-budgetary projects with a total capital of approximately 50 billion VND, focusing on the production of construction materials, agricultural product processing, and services. This serves as a foundation for the formation of production-consumption linkages, connected to the local potential and advantages.

By 2025, the local rate of families recognized as "cultured families" will reach 92%. Investment in grassroots cultural and sports facilities continues to be prioritized. Within the commune, 16 new community cultural centers have been built and 13 existing ones have been renovated, ensuring adequate community living conditions for the people. Family-related work and the prevention and control of domestic violence have been strengthened, creating a positive impact on society.

Vision and development direction

The achievements made over the past years have become a solid foundation for the Quan Thanh Commune Party Committee to confidently enter the new term.

For the period 2025-2030, the commune sets the following overall goals: Building a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting democracy, strengthening unity and discipline; accelerating innovation, implementing comprehensive digital transformation, and developing science and technology; making good use of opportunities while effectively mobilizing and utilizing resources to promote economic growth, shifting the economic structure appropriately, and developing a synchronous and progressively modern infrastructure; maintaining national defense and security; ensuring social welfare, developing comprehensively and synchronously all cultural fields, and continuously improving the material and spiritual lives of the people; building an advanced new rural area; and bringing Quan Thanh commune to rapid and sustainable development.

The commune strives to achieve an average economic growth rate of 12-13% per year; an average per capita income of 100-110 million VND; and annual budget revenue exceeding 50 billion VND. Essential infrastructure is being improved, with 95% of roads paved, 100% of schools meeting national standards, and the poverty rate reduced to below 1%. Simultaneously, 90% of grassroots Party organizations successfully complete their tasks annually, with 20% achieving outstanding performance; and the average annual recruitment of new Party members is 3%.

To realize these goals, Quan Thanh commune focuses on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; building an honest, proactive, and people-oriented government. The locality also prioritizes the development of high-tech commercial agriculture, encourages collective and digital economic models, and gradually forms value chains. Along with economic development, Quan Thanh commune pays attention to the development of culture, education, and healthcare, caring for social welfare, especially for vulnerable groups; strengthening national defense and security, and maintaining peace at the grassroots level.

In terms of infrastructure, the commune plans a synchronous, modern, and interconnected infrastructure system, mobilizing all resources to complete unfinished projects, investing in transportation, canals, education, digital infrastructure, and breakthrough regional linkage projects to meet the requirements of socio-economic development.

For agriculture, the locality prioritizes the development of high-tech agriculture linked to processing, shifting to a digital agricultural economy, circular and green rural areas, transforming the structure of crops and livestock to increase product value, and creating a favorable environment to attract investment and develop businesses and households.

Regarding administrative reform, Quan Thanh commune has improved the capacity of its staff, built a government that serves the people closely, and promoted the application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The Public Administrative Service Center operates effectively, promptly resolving procedures for citizens and businesses, contributing to improved management and administration efficiency and promoting comprehensive development.
