Tam Dinh commune (Tuong Duong district) receives certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural commune.
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than 7 years of striving, Tam Dinh, once a particularly disadvantaged commune, has risen to become one of the four communes in the mountainous district of Tuong Duong to achieve the new rural development goals.
On the afternoon of March 27th, Tam Dinh commune in Tuong Duong district held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural area. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Steering Committee for the New-Style Rural Area Program.

To bring Tam Dinh to the finish line of the New Rural Development program, the Steering Committee and the Program Management Board mobilized the entire political system to participate in propaganda efforts so that people would understand and work together to implement the program.
Each association registered for a specific task. The Vietnam Fatherland Front launched the movements "All people unite to build new rural areas" and "All people build a cultural life in residential areas"; the Farmers' Association actively campaigned for "Farmers to compete in economic development and poverty reduction"; the Women's Union campaigned for building "Cultural families" and the "5 no's, 3 clean" movement; the Youth Union led with "Pioneering efforts to build new rural areas"; and the Veterans' Association had the movement "Exemplary, working together in unity"...
During the 7 years of building new rural areas, Tam Dinh commune mobilized resources totaling over 84 billion VND. This included: 9.4 billion VND from the central government budget; over 6.9 billion VND from the provincial budget; over 5.7 billion VND from the district budget; over 18.1 billion VND from businesses and philanthropists; and 16.3 billion VND contributed by the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong praised the outstanding achievements of Tam Dinh commune in the New Rural Development movement, and at the same time requested that in the coming time, the commune should continue to improve the quality of New Rural Development criteria. He emphasized the need for attention and solutions to prioritize economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, and improving the lives of the people; and stressed the importance of preserving the beautiful cultural values of the homeland and maintaining unity among ethnic groups in the area.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong presented the Certificate recognizing the commune as meeting the standards of the New Rural Development program and a reward of one project worth 500 million VND; and awarded Certificates of Merit from the province to 4 collectives and 4 individuals who have achieved outstanding results in the New Rural Development movement in the locality.
