Identifying 4 complicated areas of prostitution in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the authorities, in Nghe An province there are 111 brothel owners and brokers, with about 217 prostitutes. Some areas with complicated prostitution problems are Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Dien Chau, and Quynh Luu.
In the first 6 months of 2018, authorities discovered and arrested 29 cases and 89 subjects of prostitution (compared to the same period in 2017, an increase of 9 cases and 30 subjects).

The provincial interdisciplinary inspection team 178 organized inspections at service establishments with security and order conditions in the province. In particular, the team successfully broke up a ring providing prostitutes to customers in Vinh City, discovered and arrested a ring of brokers, 3 couples of men and women engaged in prostitution, and seized more than 3.3 million VND and 3 condoms.

Through a survey in the province, there are currently 3,113 establishments providing services that are prone to prostitution with more than 8,987 employees. Of these, massage services are 65 establishments with 317 employees; karaoke and bar services are 345 establishments with 745 employees; dance halls are 1 establishment with 25 employees; accommodation services are 479 establishments with 4,208 employees and the rest are hair cutting, shampooing, and restaurant services.
In the province, there are 111 brothel owners and brokers, about 217 prostitutes, 10/21 urban districts and 21/480 communes, wards and towns have prostitution. 4 areas with complicated prostitution are Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu.

Recently, in Vinh City, many prostitution brokerage lines have appeared through social networking sites. By creating accounts on Zalo and Facebook, the prostitution brokers will post recruitment ads for "long-legged" girls to join their network.
Authorities have determined that the prostitution situation has only decreased superficially, but still has negative impacts on society. The management of conditional business lines, the management of subjects with suspicious signs related to prostitution and establishments that take advantage of service businesses to engage in prostitution is not strict. Some legal regulations on the management of conditional service business establishments are not close to the actual situation.
