Five people identified for assaulting and stripping a young woman in the middle of the street in a jealous rage.
Having an illicit affair with a married man, the young woman was assaulted, had her hair cut, and was stripped naked in a public fight.
On the afternoon of September 3rd, a video appeared on Facebook showing a group of people attacking, cutting the hair of, and stripping a young woman in the middle of the street. The incident is believed to have occurred in Ba Hien commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province.
The video, which is over a minute long, shows three women, one young man, and an elderly woman grabbing the young girl's arms and legs, beating her, and cutting off most of her hair with scissors. Not stopping there, the group also stripped the victim of almost all her clothes.
Many people stood outside observing the incident, but no one intervened. Some even casually used their phones to record videos.

Regarding the incident, on the morning of September 4th, Mr. Nguyen Minh Thiet, head of the Ba Hien commune police, stated that after receiving the information, the commune police investigated and handled the case, and the cause of the incident was jealousy.
According to the head of the commune's police, the young woman assaulted in the video is named K (22 years old, from Yen Bai province, married with two children), currently working as a factory worker and renting a room in Ba Hien commune. During her time renting there, K had an illicit relationship with a young man named N (23 years old, residing in Binh Xuyen district, already married).
"This relationship was discovered and monitored by N's wife, who caught them red-handed on the morning of September 3rd. At that time, N's wife called relatives to cut K's hair, strip her clothes, and assault her, as shown in the posted video," the head of the commune's police said.
The case has now been handed over by the Ba Hien commune police to the Binh Xuyen district police for resolution.
