(Baonghean.vn) - In response to some disagreements about the founding date of Bach Lieu Secondary School (Yen Thanh), recently, the Department of Education and Training of Yen Thanh district held a workshop "Determining the founding date of Bach Lieu Secondary School".

Comrade Hoang Danh Truyen - Vice Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending were representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Yen Thanh District, Comrade Pham Van Su - former Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee and teachers who were former Principals of Bach Lieu Secondary School, and the Board of Directors of Bach Lieu Secondary School.

At the workshop, comrade Hoang Danh Truyen - Vice Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee stated: The school's founding day is very important, it is a traditional day to annually review, commemorate the contributions, praise and honor generations of teachers who have contributed over the years. Determining the correct school's founding day is to ensure legality, so that the school has unified management in the school's records and documents, as well as create consensus among the staff, teachers and employees.

Delegates attending the meeting discussed and gave their opinions on the date of establishment of Bach Lieu Secondary School.

After listening to opinions from delegates, reviewing documents, materials, decisions on school establishment, Decree No. 111/2018/NQ-CP dated August 31, 2018 of the Government on "Regulations on establishment date, traditional date, response date of local ministries and branches", comrade Hoang Danh Truyen - Vice Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee concluded the workshop. He affirmed: The establishmentBach Lieu Secondary SchoolThe school's founding anniversaries have passed, such as the 5th, 10th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries. All anniversaries were unanimously decided on August 20, 1991, and the Standing Committee of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee agreed with the policy. Therefore, August 20, 1991 was determined to be the founding date of Bach Lieu Secondary School.

Regarding the decision to establish the Gifted School for Levels 1 and 2 on September 16, 1979 located in Hoa Thanh commune, after consideration, there was no handover of the teacher and student framework to the new unit.

If in the future there is more evidence and documents to prove that the two units are in the same place, the district will research and accept them to submit to the Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee for consideration./.
