Risk of drought and early saltwater intrusion in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - This year, right from the beginning of the spring crop, more than 1,000 hectares of rice in Thanh Chuong, Do Luong, and Hung Nguyen districts have suffered from drought. The reason is that many pumping stations along the Lam River in the Southern Irrigation System were unable to operate at times because the river water level was too low.
