(Baonghean.vn) - On March 4th, the Liaison Committee of the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade in the Nghe An - Ha Tinh region and the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward (Vinh City) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a house of gratitude for war invalid Phung Ba Dien.
During the war against the US, Mr. Phung Ba Dien was a soldier in the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade, serving in the Rung Sac Special Forces Unit fighting in the Southeast region. He fought bravely and achieved many victories, and is a 4/4 wounded veteran.
Currently, he and his family live in Block 11, Cua Nam Ward (Vinh City), facing many difficulties and frequently suffering from illness. The Naval Command assigned the 131st Engineering Brigade to mobilize officers and soldiers to donate 70 million VND to build a house of gratitude for veteran Phung Ba Dien, which was then transferred to the 126th Brigade Liaison Committee for donation and the groundbreaking ceremony.
