Building a charity house for orphans in Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 4, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Quynh Luu District held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a charity house for Nguyen Thi Luong in Hamlet 10, Ngoc Son Commune.

Nguyen Thi Luong currently lives with her blind grandmother who is over 90 years old and her mentally ill uncle.

Nguyen Thi Luong, 15 years old (in hamlet 10, Ngoc Son commune), has a particularly difficult situation. Her mother died early and her father is missing, leaving behind four siblings. Luong's siblings all work far away. Currently, Luong is living in a dilapidated house owned by her 90-year-old blind grandmother and a mentally ill uncle. Her biggest wish is to have a small house to protect her from the rain and sun.

The Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Quynh Luu District started building a charity house for Nguyen Thi Luong.

Faced with such a tragic situation, the Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphans of Quynh Luu District supported 30 million VND, the District Fund for the Poor supported 30 million VND, Ngoc Son Commune supported 20 million VND and organizations, businesses, and philanthropists in the district supported 20 million VND to help the family build a new house on an area of ​​40 square meters. Along with that, mass organizations and relatives will help with the construction of the house.

The house will be handed over on Tet holiday as a meaningful gift and motivation for Luong children to continue trying and striving to improve in life.
