Looking back at the implementation of the resolution of the Party Congress of the two communes for the 2015-2020 term, comrade Le Khanh Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Nhan commune affirmed that the greatest success was that both communes reached the NTM finish line one year ahead of the resolution of the congress. The total investment resources for the construction of new rural areas in the area by the end of 2019 were more than 228 billion VND, of which people contributed more than 70 billion VND and more than 5,000 working days. The rural traffic system is closed with concrete in hamlets; hamlet cultural houses are built and upgraded; the school system and medical stations are built spaciously. Currently, the commune has 3/5 schools meeting national standards, including 2 schools meeting level 2 standards and both medical stations meeting national standards; 9/10 hamlets are cultural villages. The appearance of the countryside is increasingly spacious, clean - beautiful and civilized.

In particular, in Chau Nhan commune, many economic models have been formed and developed with high efficiency. Typically, expanding, developing and diversifying types of service and trade businesses in the central area of ​​the commune, from construction materials services, agricultural supplies, garments, groceries... associated with My market - a trading place for people in the southeastern communes of the district, creating a bustling and vibrant atmosphere for the locality.

As for food and beverage services, they not only attract diners from the communes in the district but also from other localities, especially Vinh city. Many industries have also been expanded and developed; including some villages making rice paper, peanut candy, traditional wine making, weaving; mechanical industries, welding, milling and grinding animal feed, transportation, construction, and peanut oil pressing.

In agricultural production, the locality has focused on leading and directing the effective exploitation of alluvial land, including introducing genetically modified corn, beans, and sesame for export into production; strongly developing the breeding herd of more than 3,000 cows and raising grass-fed goats and Mong chickens in the direction of farms; building an organic rice production area combined with raising earthworms - becoming a local specialty and important economic spearhead. For rice, the locality has built a number of large, effective model fields. Thanks to that, the agricultural production value reached an average of more than 80 million VND/ha/year, an increase of more than 20 million VND/ha compared to 2015.

In addition to taking care of economic development, during the 2015 - 2020 term, the Party Committee and the government of Chau Nhan commune have also focused on leading and directing poverty reduction work, ensuring conditions to improve the quality of information and enjoy spiritual culture as well as physical exercise and sports, improving people's health. The poverty rate has increased from 8.5% to only 2.3% now. The rate of people participating in health insurance has increased from 74% in 2015 to 85% in 2020. National defense - security, social order and safety are ensured. The spiritual and material life of the people has been improved in all aspects.

New development orientation

Chau Nhan commune has 40% of its population living outside the Lam dike, suffering from natural disasters and floods every year, and the level of awareness and education is uneven. This is one of the biggest difficulties of the commune. According to comrade Tran Cong Hoan - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, clearly identifying these difficulties, the Standing Committee and the Party Executive Committee before and after the merger of the commune clearly determined the ideology that must be overcome to rise up. Chau Nhan is a rural area with a revolutionary tradition with 7 historical and cultural relics (3 national relics and 4 provincial relics), including the Central Region Military Commission relic and the national relic of Pham Family Temple.

Entering the 2020 - 2025 term, although there are still difficult problems due to the "post" merger of communes that have not been resolved, especially the policy of resolving redundant cadres, the Party Committee, government and people of Chau Nhan commune are determined to make efforts and unite to continue to develop rapidly and sustainably.

In the new term, according to Secretary Tran Cong Hoan, Chau Nhan will have two breakthroughs, which are developing industries and services in the central region and effectively exploiting the economy of the beach area. Regarding industries and services, in addition to maintaining and developing existing industries and services, the locality will plan and expand the scale of My market operations; at the same time, expand and diversify restaurant services in the direction of local culinary specialties.
