Quynh Anh is a coastal plain commune, merged from the communes: Minh Luong, Quynh Thanh, Quynh Yen, Quynh Bang and Quynh Doi. The total product value of the whole commune in 2025 is estimated at 2,725,859 billion VND; the economic growth rate in 2025 is estimated at 8.71%, the average of 5 years is 7.01%. The average income per capita in 2025 is estimated at 64.9 million VND, an increase of 22.9 million VND compared to 2020.

Promoting the advantages of land resources, Quynh Anh commune directed people to develop key crops such as rice and vegetables; in which, introducing high-yield, high-quality varieties, applying new scientific and technical advances into production associated with linking product consumption into a closed chain; vegetable products are consumed stably, contributing to increasing the income value for people. According to statistics, the average value of crop and aquaculture products per hectare/year is estimated at 484.8 million VND, an increase of 90.5 million VND/ha/year compared to 2020. The salt production area is 136.16 hectares, the annual salt output reaches 9,000 tons; with a value of 12 - 27 billion VND...

Industrial and handicraft activities in the area have developed quite well. The commune has 250 industrial production establishments and 6 craft villages in operation.

During the term, the locality has invested over 800 billion VND to build infrastructure. Trade and service activities have developed in a diverse manner, focusing on areas such as restaurants, hotels, freight transport, passenger transport, etc.; contributing significantly to the local economic growth.

The new rural construction movement has been focused on by the Party Committee and the government. 100% of the communes previously met the new rural standards, of which Quynh Doi and Quynh Luong communes were recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as model new rural communes; Quynh Minh commune met the advanced new rural standards. The commune has 8 products meeting the 3-star OCOP standards.

Along with economic development, the cultural and social fields have many positive changes. Facilities and teaching and learning equipment have been invested in, and the quality of education has been improved. Cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities are increasingly of high quality, and cultural - information - sports institutions have been invested in to meet standards. The whole commune has 18 ranked historical relics, of which 10 are national relics and 8 are provincial relics. In 2024, Quynh Doi village was recognized by the People's Committee of Nghe An province as a tourist destination of the province.
