Huffy has launched the Quantis electric bicycle, designed for users aged 12 and up, featuring a 250W motor, a removable 280Wh battery, and mechanical disc brakes, priced at $899.
Huffy has officially expanded its electric mobility product line with the launch of the Quantis electric bike, targeting users aged 12 and up. This e-bike features a 24-inch hardtail aluminum frame, wide knobby tires, and a Shimano 6-speed drivetrain, meeting the needs of both daily commuting and light off-road riding.
Engine and performance of the Huffy Quantis
Unlike other high-powered e-bikes on the market, the Huffy Quantis is optimally designed for the safety standards of young riders. It features a 250W rear-hub motor combined with a removable 280 Wh (36 V, 7.8 Ah) battery pack.
The powertrain allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 15 mph (approximately 24 km/h) using the thumb throttle or three levels of pedal assist. This speed is lower than the standard Class 2 limit (20 mph / 32 km/h). Furthermore, the manufacturer has not yet released detailed specifications regarding torque, maximum range per charge, or peak power.
