From September, passengers will be transported free of charge by electric vehicles within the international departure area of ​​Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi.

Free electric carts are available at the T2 terminal's quarantine area, operating on the principle of prioritizing passengers with mobility difficulties and those boarding before those eating, shopping, etc. The T2 terminal is designed in a kite shape, stretching nearly one kilometer to both the East and West ends. Currently, one-way staircases have been installed from the central area to both sides. According to Noi Bai International Airport, the electric carts will assist passengers needing to travel in the opposite direction (from the East and West ends to the central area), especially those with limited mobility, the elderly, children, and pregnant women.

The electric vehicles have four seats and travel at a maximum speed of 12 km/h, with an average journey time of 10 minutes between East and West. Passengers can request the service directly along the route or through airline representatives or sales staff. The service will be tested for six months, after which it will be evaluated and adjusted.

This is an effort by Noi Bai International Airport to improve the quality of passenger service. Currently available free amenities for passengers include drinking water, Wi-Fi, phone charging, a children's play area, and a rest area for transit passengers.
