Passenger bus collides head-on with container truck, bursts into flames.
A sleeper bus traveling from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi collided head-on with a container truck coming from the opposite direction, then crashed into a house, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
At approximately 7:00 AM on March 28th, an accident occurred on National Highway 1A in Quang Binh commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province, resulting in a sleeper bus being completely destroyed by fire and the front of a tractor-trailer catching fire.

At the scene, a double-decker sleeper bus with license plate 36B014.23, traveling from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi, collided head-on with a container truck with license plate 34R-010.08 traveling in the opposite direction, then continued to crash into a house, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
Upon receiving the report, the Provincial Fire Department dispatched 4 fire trucks and more than 40 officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy forces and equipment to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby houses. After more than an hour of firefighting, the fire was put out.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dao, a passenger on the sleeper bus, said he heard a loud explosion, then people screamed and jumped out of the bus, after which the bus burst into flames. There were about 30 people on board at the time. Fortunately, everyone managed to escape. The container truck driver and several passengers were injured and were taken to the hospital by local residents.
The accident left the passenger bus completely burned, and the front of the container truck was also destroyed by fire. Fearing the fire would spread, some residents in the surrounding area fled their homes and evacuated their belongings to a safe area.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dao and several witnesses at the scene, the accident occurred when the bus driver, trying to avoid a cyclist crossing the road, swerved to the other side and crashed head-on into a container truck, causing the bus to catch fire. The fire blocked traffic on National Highway 1A for more than two hours.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
