Passenger bus carrying container collided head-on, caught fire fiercely
A sleeper bus traveling from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi crashed head-on into a container truck traveling in the opposite direction and then crashed into a house, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
At around 7:00 a.m. on March 28, on National Highway 1A, through Quang Binh Commune, Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa Province, an accident occurred, causing a sleeper bus to be completely burned down and the front of the tractor trailer to be burned.

At the scene, the double-decker sleeper bus with license plate 36B014.23 traveling from Thanh Hoa to Hanoi crashed head-on into a container trailer with license plate 34R-010.08 traveling in the opposite direction and then continued to crash into a house, causing both vehicles to burst into flames.
Upon receiving the news, the provincial Fire Police dispatched 4 fire trucks and more than 40 officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy forces and equipment to fight the fire and prevent it from spreading to people's houses. After more than 1 hour of fighting the fire, the fire was extinguished.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dao, a passenger on the sleeper bus, said he heard a loud explosion, then everyone screamed and jumped out of the bus, and then the bus caught fire. There were about 30 people on the bus at the time. Fortunately, everyone was able to get out. The container driver and some injured passengers were taken to the emergency room by local people.
The accident left the passenger bus burned to the frame, the front of the container was completely burned. Fearing the fire would spread, some residents in the surrounding areas ran out of their homes and evacuated their belongings to a safe area.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dao and some witnesses at the scene, the accident happened because the bus driver tried to avoid a cyclist crossing the road, so he swerved to the other side and crashed head-on into the container truck and caught fire. The fire blocked traffic on National Highway 1A for more than 2 hours.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
