On the second day of Tet, bus companies started to transport passengers after Tet. However, many bus companies increased ticket prices by 35-40%, making people angry.

For example, in Do Luong, Tan Ky, Yen Thanh districts... the normal sleeper bus ticket price to Hanoi is 150,000 VND/ticket, on the second day of Tet it increases to 250,000 VND/ticket.

In Yen Thanh district, buses to Ho Chi Minh City will start departing on the 6th day of Tet. However, ticket prices have increased many times. Normally, 700,000 VND/person/ticket, now all bus companies have increased to 1.7 million VND/person/ticket. The ticket prices have increased but there is a shortage of tickets, making customers even more miserable.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan in Nam Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district was upset: Every year, when traveling to the South during Tet, the ticket price increases and we have to endure overcrowding. We hope that the authorities will discipline bus companies that increase their ticket prices.

Recently, gasoline prices have dropped sharply, but unofficial ticket prices have increased, and consumers are still suffering. Currently, state management of this issue is not strict, allowing businesses to take advantage of market mechanisms for profit.
