Car runs weak, slow acceleration, why?
A weak car with slow acceleration is a sign that there is a problem with the engine parts, so you should find out the cause and fix it.
Oil loss is a sign that the engine is weak. Because the engine is weak, to compensate for the power, the engine has to work harder, causing compression pressure and combustion pressure to increase, causing the piston to quickly lose oil.
In addition, a weak engine also causes the car to emit more exhaust than normal, so if your car emits black or light blue smoke, it shows that the engine is having problems.

Many reasons why the car runs weakly and accelerates slowly. (Illustration photo)
Causes of weak car running and slow acceleration
Fuel filter clogged
A clogged fuel filter is one of the causes of poor vehicle performance. Long-term use will cause the fuel filter to accumulate and become dirty. If not maintained and replaced periodically, the fuel filter will likely become clogged, causing insufficient fuel to flow into the combustion chamber, affecting the combustion process and engine power.
Clogged injector
If not cleaned regularly, the injector will be clogged, affecting the fuel injection, which will adversely affect the efficiency of the engine's ignition process, causing the car to accelerate slowly, lose gas, and be difficult to start.
Low cylinder pressure
To generate high power, the engine cylinder must be set to high pressure, the higher the compression, the higher the power, on the contrary, if the compression is low, the power will also be low, the vehicle will run weakly and accelerate slowly.
Worn spark plug
When the spark plug is worn, the spark from the spark plug will not be strong enough to ignite at the right time, which reduces the efficiency in the process of burning the air-fuel mixture, thus reducing engine performance, causing the vehicle to accelerate poorly.
Fuel line clogged
When the fuel line is clogged or leaking, the fuel pump system is weak, the amount of fuel supplied to the combustion chamber will not be enough. This is also one of the reasons why the car runs poorly.
Clogged air filter
The air filter helps to clean the dirt before the air enters the combustion chamber. After a long time of operation, the vehicle will accumulate a lot of dirt, causing the air filter to clog, limiting the amount of air entering the combustion chamber, affecting the combustion process and engine power.
Sensor problem
Vehicle sensors help record and transmit information to the vehicle's ECU. Through this data, the ECU can calculate the fuel, air and spark plug timing to ensure the most efficient combustion process. In case the sensor is faulty or dirty, the information transmitted to the ECU will be incorrect, thereby the calculation results will also be incorrect.
Clogged exhaust pipe
Catalytic converters help cars reduce the amount of pollution emitted by exhaust gases into the environment. If the catalytic converter has a problem, it can cause the exhaust pipe to become clogged, causing the exhaust gas to be blocked, causing the car engine to use more energy to push the exhaust gas out, thereby reducing the engine's power.
Additionally, a clogged exhaust pipe can create a backflow that forces exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber, damaging the engine.
