The 2018 BMW 4-Series luxury car has been launched with a host of upgrades.

BMW has officially introduced the mid-cycle refresh of the 4-Series in the US market. Both the two-door BMW 4-Series Coupe, the five-door Gran Coupe, and the Convertible have received this update.

In its updated version, the 2018 BMW 4-Series features changes to its design, chassis, and engine. First and foremost, the design of the 2018 BMW 4-Series for the US market is noteworthy, with new LED headlights, front fog lights, and taillights.

The overall exterior design of the lighting system on the 2018 BMW 4-Series remains the same as before. Only the internal components of the lights have changed, resembling the BMW 4-Series Concept unveiled in 2012.

Additionally, there are two new exterior paint colors, including Snapper Rocks Blue and Sunset Orange.

Next up are the all-new 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels. According to BMW, when purchasing a 2018 4-Series from the 430i/430d trim level and above, customers can request high-performance tires fitted at the factory.

BMW has also upgraded the infotainment system with a new interface. Features are displayed in large columns for easier driver use. Furthermore, drivers can completely change the position of these columns to their liking.

For those who prefer Audi's virtual cockpit instrument panel, the 2018 BMW 4-Series can offer an optional Multifunctional Instrument Display. This screen provides a variety of display options.

Furthermore, the 2018 BMW 4-Series also features a firmer suspension system to improve driving performance without compromising passenger comfort. From the standard suspension to the M Sport and Adaptive versions, all of the 2018 BMW 4-Series' suspension systems have been upgraded.

BMW has not yet provided detailed information about the powertrain of the 2018 4-Series in the US market. Meanwhile, in Europe, the 2018 BMW 4-Series has been upgraded with both 4- and 6-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. The maximum power output of the standard 2018 BMW 418d is 148 horsepower, the 420i is 181 horsepower, the 435d is 309 horsepower, and the 440i is 322 horsepower.

In total, 12 trim levels of the 2018 BMW 4-Series are offered with xDrive all-wheel drive as an option. The 2018 BMW 435d, however, comes standard with xDrive.

The top-of-the-line models are the 2018 BMW M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible, with upgrades similar to the other versions. However, the 2018 BMW M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible come standard with full LED headlights and taillights.

In addition, the 2018 BMW M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible have a standard maximum power output of 425 horsepower. This figure increases to 444 horsepower with the optional Competition Package.

The price of the 2018 BMW 4-Series in the US market has not yet been announced.
