After a dismal first leg, SLNA showed an impressive performance in the second leg of V.League 2018. In round 20, they defeated HAGL 3-1 in a convincing manner.
The 3-1 victory over HAGL in round 20 also made the Nghe An team the "record holder" of V.League when it became the team with the longest winning streak of 8 matches, equaling the record of Dong Tam Long An Brick 13 years ago.
The 8th consecutive victory also helped coach Nguyen Duc Thang's team rise to 3rd place on the rankings.
