By defeating HAGL in Round 20 of the V.League 2018, SLNA has replicated the record of 8 consecutive wins set by Gach Dong Tam Long An 13 years ago.
After a disastrous first half of the season, SLNA put on a very impressive performance in the second half of the 2018 V.League season. In Round 20, they defeated HAGL 3-1 in a convincing manner.
The 3-1 victory against HAGL in round 20 also cemented the Nghe An team's status as a V.League "record holder," becoming the team with the longest winning streak at 8 matches, equaling the record held by Gach Dong Tam Long An 13 years ago.
The eighth consecutive victory also helped Coach Nguyen Duc Thang's team climb to third place in the standings.
