In this spring rice production, the districtYen ThanhImplement a synchronous mechanization model from land preparation to harvesting in the fields of Van Thanh commune.
Accordingly, this morning, January 19, in the field of hamlet 2, Van Thanh commune, it was shown thattransplanterThe drone was used to plant 1 hectare of rice; at the same time, the drone was also controlled to fertilize. Because it was mechanized, there were no farmers in the entire field, so the planting progress was quick and easy.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Huong - Director of Yen Thanh District Agricultural Service Center said: Machine transplanting has been applied in the fields by some cooperatives in the district since previous years. But the difference here is that the transplanting machine is integratedunmanned vehicle, so each transplanter only needs 2 workers to perform the seedling feeding step, reducing 1 worker compared to the previous human-controlled machine.
This model will be mechanized from land preparation, planting, fertilizing, spraying pesticides... to harvesting. Thus, during the production process, farmers do not have to work hard in the fields like before. And this is the first "footprint-free" field in Yen Thanh.
"Synchronized mechanization in production is not only quick and labor-saving, but also reduces costs. Just in the planting stage, if 1 hectare of land is planted with hybrid rice by machine, the cost is nearly 8 million VND, including planting labor and seeds, while planting by human power can cost more than 11 million VND," said Mr. Nguyen Trong Huong./.
