Apply to be a bus boy to double the profit from selling fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - Nam bought fireworks at cheap prices, hid them in cardboard boxes, sealed them like normal cargo boxes. With this method, Nam and his accomplices successfully carried out many transactions, earning double the amount of money spent on buying fireworks.
Recently, Nghia Dan District Police discovered that a number of individuals in Nghia Dan District and Thai Hoa Town colluded to buy fireworks from the southern provinces at cheap prices and then transported them to Nghia Dan District and Thai Hoa Town to resell for profit. Faced with this situation, Nghia Dan District Police established Project 210P to combat the situation.
Through the investigation, the Task Force discovered that Tran Van Nam (born in 1990), residing in Nghia Tien Commune, Thai Hoa Town, had a previous conviction for intentionally causing injury. Nam went directly to the Southern region to buy fireworks and then transported them to Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa, colluding with several other subjects in the area to sell and make a profit.
To disguise and conceal his crime and avoid the authorities, Nam applied to work as a bus assistant for a bus company running from Quy Hop district to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa, both to have a job and to facilitate the transportation and sale of fireworks.

Nam bought firecrackers at a cheap price from a subject when passing through Quang Tri province, hid the firecrackers in cardboard boxes (the type commonly used to contain fruits, candies, etc.), sealed them tightly like regular boxes of goods that customers send to the bus or that of passengers, and mixed them with the luggage and goods of the passengers.
When the passenger bus that Nam was working as a busboy arrived at Nghia Dan district, Thai Hoa town, Nam called his accomplices to receive the boxes of fireworks like normal goods and then brought them back to hide and sell.
Assessing that on January 20, Nam would transport the fireworks by passenger bus and then hand them over to his accomplices for the section passing through Nghia Thang commune, Nghia Dan district, the Task Force arranged forces to divide into many working groups to go offline, monitor, ambush, and block.
At about 10:40 a.m. on January 20, when Tran Van Nam got off the bus and took the cartons to hand over to another person, the task force conducted an inspection and caught Tran Van Nam and his accomplice Nguyen Van Sy (born in 1981), residing in Nghia Tien commune, Thai Hoa town. The authorities temporarily seized 3 cartons that Nam gave to Sy, containing 24 boxes of 36-round firecrackers with a total weight of 36kg.
At the Investigation Police Agency, the subjects confessed all their actions. Realizing that the amount of money earned from selling fireworks was high, the subjects bought them to resell for illegal profit. If they successfully sold them, the two subjects would earn double the amount of money they spent to buy the fireworks. These two subjects colluded and traded with each other and successfully sold them many times.
Currently, Nghia Dan District Police are detaining Tran Van Nam to continue investigating and expanding the case.
