In the first days of the new year, crowds of people flock to Con Temple (Hoang Mai Town) - the temple known as the most sacred in Nghe An to pray for luck and peace at the beginning of the year.

Con Temple, also known as Con Nghe An Mau Temple, is located on Diec Hill, near Lach Con estuary of Phuong Can village, Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town. It is known as the most sacred temple among the temples and pagodas in Nghe An, "first Con, second Qua, third Bach Ma, fourth Chieu Trung".
