Unable to get money for gambling, the ungrateful son killed his mother.

After being refused money by his mother to gamble, the young man heartlessly murdered her.

A leader of the Long Thanh District Police (Dong Nai province) said that the district police are coordinating with the Criminal Police Department of the provincial police to detain suspect Ton That Minh (22 years old, residing in Thua Thien Hue province) for investigation into the act of murder.

The victim was the suspect's own mother, Le Thi Hoa (53 years old, residing in Thua Thien Hue). According to initial information, Ms. Hoa had rented a canteen in the Long Thanh District Children's House (in Long Thanh Town) to run a business for many years. A few days ago, Ton That Minh came from Hue to Long Thanh District to visit his mother.

At approximately 1 PM on May 1st, after being refused permission by his mother to play cards, Minh fatally stabbed her with a knife right in the cafeteria.

After committing the murder, Minh fled on a motorbike; however, when he reached National Highway 51B (about 2 km from the scene), he was chased and arrested by the Long Thanh District Police.
