(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the National Unity Day, Hamlet 2 of Que Son commune, Que Phong district, held a ceremony to receive the title of the first hamlet in the district to achieve the new rural standard.

Following the principle of joint efforts between the state and the people, over the past six years, Hamlet 2 in Que Son commune has achieved 15 criteria for rural mountainous hamlets. Notably, the criteria for income and the number of poor households are particularly noteworthy.
The hamlet has 102 households and 403 people. The average per capita income in 2011 was 10 million VND/person/year, reaching 26 million VND/person/year in 2016. The poverty rate in 2011 was 21.62%, and has now decreased to 6.8%.
Besides the state's investment in cement, the hamlet contributed over 103 million VND in cash and mobilized nearly 1,000 man-days of labor to complete 100% of the village roads and alleys with concrete. Education, healthcare, and environmental protection are given attention. The political system is strong, and security is maintained.
At the ceremony, the leaders of Que Phong district presented the certificate recognizing the hamlet as meeting the standards of a new rural area and awarded it a prize of 20 million VND. On this occasion, the hamlet also received a certificate of commendation for 18 consecutive years without anyone having a third child.
