Controversy erupts over unusual information on Kỳ Duyên's Miss Universe invitation.

Netizens discovered an anomaly regarding the date in the document, as the invitation was dated August 27, 2024, while Ky Duyen had only been crowned Miss Universe Vietnam on September 14, 2024.

This information was discovered after National Director Huong Ly presented the invitation letter to Ky Duyen during the send-off and posted it on social media. Although the content was removed shortly afterward, images of the invitation letter quickly spread, sparking much speculation about the fairness of the competition.

In response to public inquiries, Miss Universe Vietnam has officially issued a statement clarifying the situation.

Accordingly, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen received an official invitation in Spanish from MUO five days after her coronation, which was on September 19, 2024. To facilitate the visa application process, Miss Universe Vietnam requested that MUO provide an English version of the invitation.

This English version was submitted by MUO on October 1, 2024, and is the document currently causing controversy on social media. The organizers explained that an unintentional mistake regarding the dates occurred during data entry, leading to misunderstandings about the transparency of the competition.

To prove the authenticity of the information, Miss Universe Vietnam has released two emails containing full details and sending times from the Miss Universe Organization.

Miss Universe Vietnam affirms that all processes and procedures related to Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen's participation in national and international competitions were carried out in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring fairness and transparency.

Miss Universe Vietnam has issued a sincere apology for this mistake and expressed its hope for understanding from the public and the media, and called on viewers to continue supporting Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen in her upcoming journey at the Miss Universe 2024 competition in Mexico.
