Taking advantage of his children's summer vacation, Mr. Bui Cong Thang from Anh Son district took his family to Cua Lo beach for a 5-day getaway. He said that the family's initial plan was to go to Da Nang or Nha Trang, but considering the long journey and its potential impact on their health, they decided to vacation in Cua Lo instead.

“The journey to Cua Lo is short, transportation is convenient, the beach here is also very beautiful, and the seafood is all fresh and delicious. Especially, the newly opened VinWonders Cua Hoi amusement park has many games and entertainment activities, meeting the entertainment needs of tourists,” Thang said.

Mr. Lo Ngoc Hung from Tuong Duong district also chose Cua Lo beach town for his family's vacation. His children achieved high academic results last school year, so he and his wife decided to reward them with a trip. After consulting with friends, his family chose Cua Lo beach resort as their destination.

Mr. Hung said: “Many people who traveled to Cua Lo said that the services here are very good this year, especially the amusement park in Cua Hoi which has many interesting games, not inferior to other provinces. Therefore, instead of going far, we decided to come to Cua Lo and a few tourist destinations in the province.”

According to Mr. Hoang Thanh Son, Head of the Culture and Information Department of Cua Lo town, compared to previous years, the number of visitors to Cua Lo during this year's peak tourist season has increased dramatically. Every day, Cua Lo welcomes and serves tens of thousands of tourists, with a large proportion being from within the province.

Hotels in the area are fully booked, especially on weekends when large hotels along Binh Minh Street are completely booked. This is due to changes in the landscape and the renewal of tourism products, particularly since the VinWonders amusement park in Cua Hoi opened, significantly contributing to attracting tourists to Cua Lo.

Besides Cua Lo beach town, other tourist destinations in the province also attract a large number of visitors for sightseeing and relaxation. These include Hon Mat eco-tourism area (Nghia Dan), Hon Nhan (Dien Chau), Muong Thanh Dien Lam (Dien Chau), Nhat Minh Farmstay (Que Phong), Pu Mat National Park (Con Cuong), and Muong Long (Ky Son)...

Mr. Nguyen Nam Tai's family in Trung Do ward (Vinh city) decided to choose Pu Mat National Park and Muong Long commune for their summer vacation this year. Through friends who had been there before, Mr. Tai learned that the scenery in the western districts is also very beautiful, no less impressive than other domestic destinations. Moreover, this is an opportunity to explore and learn about the natural beauty and people of his homeland.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Huy Nhan from Quan Bau ward (Vinh city) chose the Muong Thanh Dien Lam and Hon Mat eco-tourism areas for his family's vacation. According to Mr. Nhan, these two eco-tourism destinations are not inferior to many other destinations in the country in terms of scenery, cuisine, and accommodation. Therefore, the number of tourists from Nghe An visiting these destinations in the province is increasing, becoming a trend during this year's peak tourist season.

With more affordable domestic airfares, tourists are choosing to travel abroad.

Along with the trend of domestic tourism, many tourists from Nghe An are choosing to travel abroad. This stems from the fact that domestic airfares have increased significantly, while international flights are more affordable, making them a popular choice.

Ms. Cao Thi Thanh, Deputy Director of Vietravel's Nghe An branch, said: "Since the beginning of this year's tourist season, most customers, mostly groups, instead of flying to Hanoi, Sa Pa, or Ha Long for their summer vacation, have chosen cheaper international air routes such as Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, and Taiwan. During the hot summer months, tourists often choose these countries to enjoy the cooler climate, and because of the lower airfares, the overall cost is better compared to traveling domestically on local flights."

According to Ms. Cao Thi Thanh, since the beginning of the tourist season, nearly 1,000 tourists from the province have registered for overseas tours through Vietravel's Nghe An branch, generating revenue of over 14 billion VND. This demonstrates that international tourism is becoming increasingly popular among the people of Nghe An.

Having just returned from a trip to Singapore, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung from Nam Dan town said: “With the current high price of domestic airfares, traveling abroad by plane is a reasonable choice, because international airfares are lower than many domestic routes. Recently, my family had a vacation in Singapore; the price was comparable to a domestic tour, but the quality was significantly better. That's also why many people are choosing to travel abroad via international flights lately.”

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong from Vinh Tan ward (Vinh city) and his family went on a trip to Thailand based on a friend's recommendation. Mr. Cuong said that the cost of the trip to Thailand was comparable to a domestic trip, and the quality was guaranteed, so he recommended this tour to many friends and relatives.

This shows that traveling abroad via international flights has become one of the tourism trends in Nghe An this summer.

Mr. Nguyen Huynh Suong, Director of Dong Duong Travel Company, said: “This year's tourist season in Nghe An, inland tours within the province are chosen by most tourists because of their convenience, low cost, and significantly improved service quality. In addition, many people choose to travel abroad via international flights, which offer reasonable ticket prices comparable to domestic destinations.”
