Completely eliminate the problem of encroachment on forest land.

(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Nghi Loc district have requested the province to definitively resolve the issue of encroachment on forest land between Nam Thanh commune (Nam Dan district) and Nghi Cong Nam commune (Nghi Loc district).

The Provincial People's Committee responded to this issue as follows:

According to the three-category forest planning approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 48/2014/QD-UBND dated August 15, 2014, the forest land area in Nghi Cong Nam commune, Nghi Loc district, is designated as production forest and is currently managed by the commune's People's Committee.

According to Decision No. 07/2012/QD-TTg dated February 8, 2012, of the Prime Minister on promulgating a number of policies to strengthen forest protection, the authority to handle the encroachment on forest land by people in Nam Thanh with respect to the aforementioned area falls under the responsibility of the People's Committees of the two districts: Nghi Loc and Nam Dan.

To resolve the above issue, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the People's Committees of Nghi Loc and Nam Dan districts to coordinate and definitively address the aforementioned encroachment in accordance with the law.
