Every year, during the rainy season, there are many species of wild birds and migratory birds.come to shelter and forage in Nghe An. Although the Forestry Department, functional agencies, and local governments have actively propagated and warned, people in many areas still brazenly and massively trap and capture wild, migratory birds in violation of regulations.

Being present in coastal areas of Dien Chau district in early October, such as Dien Kim, Dien Hai, Dien Thanh communes, we saw people using decoy birds to whiten the rice field banks, as well as spreading nets, using sticky plastic, and speakers to play fake bird sounds to trap migratory birds.

Many unfortunate birds have been caught in glue and have fallen into the hands of humans. The trapped migratory birds are often sold at markets and specialty restaurants for around 40,000-50,000 VND/bird.

According to data from the Dien Chau District Forest Protection Department, since the beginning of August, the Forest Protection Department has coordinated with localities to tackle the problem of trapping wild birds. Communes have eradicated 210 stork-catching spots, confiscated more than 5,000 meters of nets, 7 sets of speakers and destroyed nearly 2,000 fake storks made of foam.
