Female driver fined for attempting to cross railway tracks when the red light was on.
Despite the red warning lights and the railway barrier being lowered, a female driver attempted to cross the level crossing in Hung Chau commune in her pickup truck. For this violation, she was issued a citation, faces a fine of 18 to 20 million VND, and has her driver's license suspended for two months.
The Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (Nghe An Provincial Police Department's Traffic Police Division) issued a fine to Ms. HTT (born in 1975, residing in Hung Chau commune) for driving a pickup truck across a railway crossing when the traffic light was red.
Accordingly, the driver of the pickup truck with license plate 37C-269.xx was Ms. HTT (born in 1975, residing in Hung Chau commune, Nghe An province). After being summoned to the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, Ms. T. admitted to the violation as reported and complied with the regulations.

Earlier, at around 8:00 AM on July 13th, at the intersection of the railway and National Highway 1A in Hung Chau commune, despite the warning lights being red and the automatic barrier being lowered, the female driver still attempted to cross the railway tracks in her pickup truck.
Upon noticing the incident, two railway crossing guards promptly ran out to intervene, instructing the driver to stop the vehicle and reverse it away from the dangerous area. After a few minutes, the vehicle finally reversed. The entire incident was recorded and shared on social media, attracting public attention.
Based on the verification results, the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station issued an administrative violation report against Ms. HTT for crossing the railway crossing when the red light was on. This act violates the provisions of Clause 9, Article 13 of Government Decree No. 81/2026/ND-CP.
According to regulations, crossing a level crossing when the red light is on is punishable by a fine of 18 to 20 million VND and a 2-month suspension of the driver's license.
