Driver of pickup truck fined for installing rear lights that cause glare on National Highway 1A.
After images and videos of a pickup truck fitted with additional rear lights that emitted a strong, dazzling light that blinded vehicles behind it went viral on social media, the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province quickly investigated and handled the case according to regulations.
In recent days, images and videos have appeared on social media showing a pickup truck with license plate 37B-260.91 fitted with additional rear lights. The system emits a high-intensity light, causing glare for vehicles behind it and posing a potential traffic safety hazard on the road.
Following feedback from citizens and the online community, the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An province promptly verified the information and summoned the vehicle owner for questioning.

At the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, authorities identified the driver as Mr. HBN (born in 1990, residing in Nghi Loc commune, Nghe An province). During questioning, the driver admitted to installing additional rear lights on the vehicle, which affected other vehicles traveling in the same direction behind him.
The violation was determined to have occurred at 7:25 PM on March 2, 2026, at Km443+800 on National Highway 1A.
Currently, traffic police have issued a violation report in accordance with regulations and have requested the vehicle owner to remove the illegally installed equipment to ensure traffic safety.
