Nghe An province has diverse topography and numerous rivers and streams, significantly impacting transportation and economic development in its localities, especially in remote and mountainous districts. To create a breakthrough in transportation development, eliminate barriers caused by rivers and streams, facilitate safe and convenient travel for residents during the rainy season, and promote trade and economic development, bringing a new look to rural areas, Nghe An has been building many new bridges in recent years. These bridges add a modern and dynamic touch to the province, connecting key economic regions and contributing to socio-economic development.

It is expected to be completed and put into use in March 2024. Mr. Vi Van Lam, a resident of Chau Thang commune, happily shared: "With the new bridge, we will no longer have to cross the Hieu River by ferry. The village will have more opportunities for economic development, and our children will be safer when going to school."

A representative from the Quy Chau District People's Committee stated: Previously, residents of Chau Thang commune used the Chau Thang overflow bridge for transportation. During the flood season, several villages in the area were frequently isolated. The construction of the new Chau Thang bridge will facilitate travel for residents of five villages, comprising over 700 households and more than 3,200 people.
