Newspapers and radio stations also focused on promoting a number of events taking place during the month such as the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations, the founding day of Nghe An province's armed forces, the 50th anniversary of ASEAN, the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, etc. with many dense and attractive news articles.

In addition, press and radio agencies reflected on localities and units directing the implementation after the review in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII), introducing many typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. There were a number of articles that raised new issues on Party building work such as "When veterans are leaders of Party committees", "Building leading factors that can spread into movements" (Nghe An Newspaper), Dialogue to relieve frustration (People's Representative), "'Nurturing' the future for Dan Lai people" (People's Army), etc.

In particular, Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio and Television Station have had many columns and topics on administrative reform, amending working methods, improving public ethics, and solutions to build an honest government and create development.

In addition, press agencies continue to promote the function of social criticism and supervision. Many violations and shortcomings in the construction and renovation of works and projects that are behind schedule and affect people's lives have been discovered, reported by the press, creating public opinion and promptly inspected and handled by authorities.

However, some contents in the direction of propaganda that were thoroughly grasped at the Press Conference have not yet been implemented by some press agencies; the works participating in the national press award on Party building "Golden Hammer and Sickle Award" for the 2nd time, new rural areas associated with restructuring the agricultural sector in the period 2017 - 2020, and Cua Lo tourism in 2017 are still few.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Phuc Hop outlined the propaganda orientation for September 2017, requesting press agencies to focus on propagating the results of 1 year of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in conjunction with Resolution of the 12th Central Committee, Session 4, on Party building and rectification, solutions to prevent and repel degradation, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", etc.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested newspapers and radio stations to promote the results after 4 years of implementing Resolution 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for Nghe An province's development until 2020.

Along with that, press agencies need to propagate the results of implementing socio-economic indicators in August and the past 8 months, the direction and management measures of the Provincial People's Committee on economic development, social stability in the last months of the year; promote propaganda on new rural construction, poverty reduction, labor export management in the province; continue to promote the potential and advantages of the province to attract investment, attract tourists, and replicate effective economic models in the area.
