An article has appeared raising new issues regarding Party building.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department announced that in August 2017, several articles highlighting new issues in Party building work appeared in Nghe An Newspaper, People's Representatives Newspaper, People's Army Newspaper, etc.

In August 2017, many prominent political and current affairs activities were extensively covered by the press, including: visits and working sessions in Nghe An by leaders of Laos; visits and working sessions of ministries and departments in Nghe An; the Provincial Party Secretary's visit and working session in Bolikhamsai province (Laos); visits and working sessions in Nghe An by investment promotion delegations from Germany and Japan; and the 2017 Nghe An Provincial Defense Exercise…

Newspapers and television stations also focused on publicizing several events taking place during the month, such as the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos, the founding day of the armed forces of Nghe An province, the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN, the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, etc., with many detailed and engaging articles.

In addition, the press and media reported on the implementation by localities and units following the review in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 4 of the Central Committee (12th Congress), introducing many exemplary individuals in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh. Several articles raised new issues regarding Party building work, such as "When veterans become leaders of Party committees," "Building leading figures to spread the movement" (Nghe An Newspaper), "Dialogue to alleviate grievances" (People's Representative), "'Nurturing' the future for the Dan Lai people" (People's Army Newspaper), etc.

In particular, Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio and Television Station have featured many sections and special programs on administrative reform, reforming working methods, improving public service ethics, and solutions aimed at building an honest and development-oriented government.

Furthermore, the press continues to effectively fulfill its function of social critique and oversight. Many irregularities and shortcomings in the construction and renovation of projects, including delayed projects affecting people's lives, have been discovered and reported by the press, generating public opinion and prompting relevant authorities to promptly investigate and address them.

However, some of the propaganda-oriented content that was emphasized at the press briefing has not yet been implemented by some media agencies; the number of entries participating in the 2nd National Press Award on Party building "Golden Hammer and Sickle Award", new rural development associated with restructuring the agricultural sector in the 2017-2020 period, and Cua Lo tourism in 2017 is still low.

At the conference, representatives from various agencies and media outlets offered 10 suggestions, including: specific regulations on the time allowed for spokespersons to answer questions from the press; addressing the problem of overloaded vehicles circulating through the province; the lack of adequate preparation for the effective implementation of the new school model (VNEN); the need for a control mechanism in judging journalistic competitions; and the need to eradicate the problem of encroachment on sidewalks and roadsides.

Speaking at the briefing, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Phuc Hop outlined the propaganda direction for September 2017, requesting media agencies to focus on publicizing the results of one year of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, in conjunction with Resolution No. 4 of the 12th Central Committee on Party building and rectification, and solutions to prevent and combat degradation, "self-evolution," and "self-transformation,"...

The head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested that newspapers and radio stations intensify the dissemination of information on the results after four years of implementing Resolution 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020.

In addition, media outlets need to publicize the results of implementing socio-economic targets for August and the past eight months, the provincial People's Committee's directives and management measures on economic development and social stability in the remaining months of the year; promote the construction of new rural areas, poverty reduction, and labor export management in the province; and continue to promote the province's potential and advantages to attract investment and tourists, and replicate effective economic models in the area.
