On May 26th, a large number of Buddhists and 23 underprivileged individuals from the Hoa Sen Center for the Disabled gathered at Chi Linh Pagoda to celebrate and bless the love of the disabled couple Le Cong Manh (born in 1991) and Nguyen Thi Nhan (born in 1992).

The wedding ceremony, jointly organized by Chi Linh Pagoda (Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) and Hoa Sen Center for the Disabled, took place in a warm, joyful, and enthusiastic atmosphere. Although it consisted only of a cup of green tea, a packet of cakes and candies donated by the pagoda and benefactors, songs and performances by cultural staff, and a tent provided by a charitable organization, what remained was a feeling of warmth and love.
In the joy of this momentous day of his life, Mr. Mạnh emotionally shared: "My wife and I were not fortunate enough to meet in this shared home, the Hoa Sen Center for the Disabled. Born into hardship, we never dared to dream of having a wedding like everyone else, but it's miraculous that today we have this happy day, the happiest day of our lives."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung, Director of the Hoa Sen Disability Center, said: Manh, from Nghi Lam commune (Nghi Loc district), unfortunately suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident and is no longer able to walk, having to use a wheelchair. In 2017, when the Hoa Sen Disability Center was established, he asked his family's permission to stay at the center to live and learn a trade. Ms. Nhan, from Hamlet 15, Dong Thanh commune (Yen Thanh district), suffers from congenital corneal dryness, resulting in poor eyesight and hearing.
"When the two children found they were compatible, both families agreed; but due to difficult economic conditions, I discussed with the temple about organizing a wedding ceremony for them. With the support and assistance of benefactors, the wedding of the two children was truly heartwarming. I hope they will have good health, love, and support each other in life," added Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhung.

"We've known each other for almost a year, having worked together at the Hoa Sen Center for the Disabled. Having worked together for so long, I've found Mr. Mạnh to be a kind person. Although he can't walk, he's very determined and always willing to help others, so I developed feelings for him and want to walk the rest of the journey with him," shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhan.

Venerable Thich Tue Minh, abbot of Chi Linh Pagoda, said: Before the wedding ceremony, Manh and Nhan had a traditional Buddhist ceremony organized by the pagoda to equip them with the skills to live harmoniously, sharing responsibilities and happiness together.
