Helmet factory engulfed in flames, suffering 5 billion VND in damages.
The fire, which lasted for three hours, destroyed hundreds of square meters of a helmet manufacturing factory on the outskirts of Saigon.
On the evening of December 6th, a fierce fire broke out at a helmet manufacturing company on Highway 11 (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City). Security guards and residents tried to extinguish the fire with hoses but were unsuccessful. The fire spread to a warehouse containing glue, foam, and plastic, causing it to intensify rapidly.
A 500 square meter factory was engulfed in flames, with columns of smoke rising dozens of meters into the air. Dozens of residents in the surrounding area, fearing the fire would spread, moved their belongings out of their homes.

Hundreds of police officers and 20 fire trucks approached from multiple directions, prying open the corrugated iron roof and spraying water relentlessly to isolate the flames. Nearly three hours later, the fire was completely extinguished.
The fire caused no casualties, but it destroyed over 500 square meters of factory space along with many newly imported raw materials, with estimated damages exceeding 5 billion VND.
Mr. Mai Van Thuan, the factory owner, said that on weekends when the workers are off, only three security guards are on duty.
"The fire originated in the office where there were many computers. It's possible that employees forgot to turn off the equipment during their break, causing a short circuit," Mr. Thuan said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
