The 2017 Yamaha X-Max 300, a large-sized scooter model, replaces its predecessor, the X-Max 250. It is manufactured in Indonesia and sold globally.

Yamaha has just introduced the 2017 X-Max 300, a new model replacing the older X-Max 250, featuring a larger engine and a modern, sporty design. The bike will go on sale in Europe next March for $5,978 before its launch in other markets.

It is currently unclear whether Yamaha intends to import the 2017 X-Max 300 into Vietnam through official channels, as it has done with the FZ150i and TFX150, since this model is also manufactured in Indonesia.

The most notable feature of the 2017 X-Max 300 is its all-new 292cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine. The bike boasts superior acceleration and top speed compared to its predecessor, the X-Max 250, thanks to its 27.6 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 29 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. The engine utilizes Blue Core technology and meets Euro 4 emission standards, combined with a Smart Key keyless ignition system and a large 13-liter fuel tank.

The 2017 X-Max 300 is also equipped with telescopic front suspension similar to its T-Max sibling and an improved frame. The front wheel has a 15-inch rim, the rear wheel a 14-inch rim, and it comes with 267 mm front/245 mm rear hydraulic disc brakes and ABS anti-lock braking technology. Notably, the bike also features a traction control system to enhance handling when cornering or on slippery surfaces.

The Yamaha X-Max 300 measures 2,185 mm in length, 775 mm in width, has a seat height of 795 mm, a wheelbase of 1,540 mm, and a ground clearance of 135 mm. It weighs 179 kg (wet weight) and has a spacious storage compartment large enough for two full-face helmets. The X-Max 300 boasts a sporty and modern design, especially when combined with full-LED lighting technology, a traditional analog instrument panel with an LCD screen, and a convenient 12-volt charging socket.
