Yamaha launches scooter as powerful as large displacement motorbike
The 2017 Yamaha X-Max 300 large scooter replaces its predecessor, the X-Max 250, and is manufactured in Indonesia and sold globally.
Yamaha has just introduced the X-Max 300 2017, a new replacement for the old X-Max 250 with a larger engine and a modern, sporty design. The vehicle will be sold in Europe in March next year for $5,978 before being launched in other markets.
It is currently unclear whether Yamaha intends to import the X-Max 300 2017 to Vietnam through official channels as it did with the FZ150i and TFX150 because this vehicle is also manufactured in the Indonesian market.

The most notable point on the X-Max 300 2017 is the completely new 292 cc 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine. The vehicle has the ability to accelerate and reach a maximum speed superior to its predecessor X-Max 250 thanks to a capacity of 27.6 horsepower at 7,250 rpm, torque of 29 Nm at 5,750 rpm. The engine uses Blue Core technology and meets Euro 4 emission standards combined with a Smart Key keyless start system, a large 13-liter fuel tank.
The X-Max 300 2017 is also equipped with front telescopic shock absorbers similar to the T-Max and an improved frame system. The front wheel is equipped with 15-inch rims, the rear wheel is 14-inch with 267 mm front/245 mm rear hydraulic disc brakes and ABS anti-lock braking technology. In particular, the vehicle has an additional traction control system to enhance performance when cornering and on slippery roads.

The Yamaha X-Max 300 is 2,185 mm long, 775 mm wide, 795 mm seat height, 1,540 mm wheelbase and 135 mm ground clearance. The vehicle has a wet weight of 179 kg, and a spacious trunk that can fit two full-face helmets. The design of the X-Max 300 is sporty and modern, especially when combined with full-LED lighting technology, a traditional analog dashboard with an LCD screen or a convenient 12-volt charging socket.
