The entire population is united in building advanced new rural areas.

Regarding Bac Thanh commune,Yen ThanhThis occasion has revealed astonishing changes; people's lives are improving, and infrastructure is being invested in comprehensively.

Mr. Le Van Thuy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Thanh commune, said: During the process of building advanced new rural areas, the commune has closely followed the set contents and criteria. The Steering Committee for building advanced new rural areas of the commune has concretized and issued appropriate mechanisms to promote the potential and advantages of the locality.

In terms of economic development, the commune focuses on targeted investment in agricultural production, accelerating the shift in economic structure, such as exploiting potential for afforestation, cultivating medicinal plants, developing farm-based economy, and commercial services.

Currently, the commune is focusing on constructing key projects that contribute to socio-economic development. Specifically, 200 high-voltage streetlights have been installed along commune and village roads. Construction includes a 3.2 km cassava raw material road (worth 18.5 billion VND), a 1 km Khai Son road (worth 3.2 billion VND), and 3.3 km of village roads (worth 1.9 billion VND). A health station (worth 25 billion VND) has also been built, along with the installation of outdoor sports and fitness equipment.

The commune is attracting a factory to manufacture and process footwear products with a planned scale of 9.9 hectares, striving to achieve the new rural development goal in 2022. In addition, communes on the roadmap to achieve advanced new rural development in 2022 are actively improving the criteria, such as Hong Thanh, Tho Thanh, and Tien Thanh communes…

To maintain the criteria and build advanced new rural areas, communes in Yen Thanh district have mobilized the people to unanimously contribute money, land, and labor to invest in infrastructure construction. They encourage people to compete in economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, and the development of farm economic models and eco-tourism. To date, the district has 14 provincial-level OCOP products and 17 recognized standard gardens.

Yen Thanh district has also established 23 rice production models in 21 communes with a total area of ​​nearly 1,700 hectares, linking production and product consumption. Many scientific and technical advancements have been applied to production in areas such as seeds, cultivation processes, mechanization, and production according to VietGAP standards; the development of clean products from greenhouses and polytunnels; and attention has been paid to building brands, trademarks, and traceability labels for products…

Strive to reach the finish line on schedule.

According to the plan, Yen Thanh district will strive to achieve its goals.advanced new rural areasIn 2025, the Standing Committee of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee held numerous working sessions with the District Steering Committee for New Rural Development and the leaders of communes registered to achieve advanced new rural development goals within the year. The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and other district-level mass organizations focused on researching and implementing the program's tasks and solutions in a coordinated manner.

The Standing Committee and Steering Committee issued directives; the District People's Council issued a mechanism to support the implementation of the program according to Resolution No. 05/2020/NQ-HĐND dated December 18, 2020; and the District People's Committee issued plans and action programs.

The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee assigned members of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee to be in charge of specific clusters to guide communes in developing plans and roadmaps. They also worked directly with each commune registering to achieve advanced new rural standards and model new rural standards to resolve difficulties and obstacles.

Thanks to this, in 2021, Yen Thanh district had 5 communes that achieved advanced new rural standards, including Hoa Thanh, Tang Thanh, Son Thanh, Long Thanh, and Tan Thanh communes. According to the plan, in 2022, Yen Thanh district will have 7 communes striving to achieve advanced new rural standards, including Bac Thanh, Dong Thanh, Xuan Thanh, Nhan Thanh, Hong Thanh, Tho Thanh, and Tien Thanh communes.

According to the assessment results based on the enhanced New Rural Area criteria for the 2021-2025 period, in Yen Thanh district, the number of communes that have met 17-19 criteria is 3 communes (7.89%), 4 communes have met 12-16 criteria (10.53%), 10 communes have met 10-12 criteria (26.32%), and 21 communes have met 5-9 criteria (55.26%).

Mr. Phan Van Tuyen, Chairman of the Yen Thanh District People's Committee, stated: With the goal of completing the construction of advanced new rural areas, Yen Thanh district continues to do a good job of disseminating information about the construction of advanced new rural areas, helping people understand the purpose and tasks of this initiative, thereby stimulating a nationwide emulation movement. The district is strengthening the leadership of the Party, improving the effectiveness of state management, and promoting the role of political and social organizations. The Steering Committee and its supporting teams are being consolidated from the district level down to the grassroots.

The district directed the full implementation of support policies for the 2021-2025 period, proactively improving the criteria for new rural areas and advanced new rural areas at the commune and district levels to ensure sustainability.

Promote the development of traditional craft villages, develop high-tech production models, link production with product consumption, and form specialized agricultural production areas oriented towards commercial goods. Organize production according to VietGAP standards, build product brands with traceability labels, aiming to develop key products of the district bearing the brand of Nghe An province.

Mobilize social resources, attract investment, and increase direct funding support from the Program for localities facing significant difficulties. For communes striving to achieve advanced and model new rural area status, prioritize allocating more capital to facilitate their achievement of planned goals. Ensure efficient cement procurement according to the provincial People's Committee's mechanism and cement allocation according to the district's mechanism for concreting rural roads, ensuring timely completion.
