Yen Thanh district aims to have 25 new rural communes by the end of the year.
(Baonghean.vn) -In 2017, Yen Thanh district aimed to have 25 out of 40 communes and towns meet the standards of new rural areas.
To achieve these results, from the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee for New Rural Development in Yen Thanh district conducted inspections of the implementation of the program's criteria in the 6 communes registered to achieve New Rural Development standards in 2017. They also organized guidance, reviewed, and adjusted planning in these localities.

The district has launched a widespread movement for all citizens to build new rural areas, prioritizing the effective combination of investment resources in the movement.
Nearly 6,000 tons of cement were received and distributed under the provincial mechanism, and 2,500 tons under the district mechanism, to be supplied to communes; currently, 36 km of rural roads meeting the required standards have been constructed.
By mobilizing local resources and the people's strength, nearly 30 km of concrete roads were constructed; 44.8 km of roads were cleared, nearly 16 km of roadside ditches were built, and more than 6 km of irrigation ditches were constructed in the fields...

Currently, the Provincial Steering Committee for New Rural Development has inspected and approved three communes that met the New Rural Development standards in 2017: Minh Thanh, My Thanh, and Trung Thanh.
At the same time, we will continue to direct the remaining three communes, Bao Thanh, Dong Thanh, and Vinh Thanh, to complete their dossiers for provincial inspection this November; striving to increase the total number of communes achieving New Rural Area status in the district to 25 out of 40 communes and towns by the end of the year, ranking among the top in the province.
