Yen Thanh: Giving free medicine to children with tuberculosis

(Baonghean.vn) - As part of the "Breath of Life" project of PATH, the health sector of Yen Thanh district recently organized a campaign to educate people on how to prevent and promptly detect tuberculosis in children.

Understanding the harmful effects of tuberculosis on patients and those around them, recently, commune health stations in the entire district have organized propaganda on commune radio about how to prevent, detect and promptly treat people with tuberculosis.

Accordingly, commune health stations have organized examinations and tests for people and distributed medicine according to the program for children under 5 years old, especially those infected with tuberculosis will be given medicine and treatment instructions according to the organization's regimen.

Having suffered from tuberculosis for several years, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong (Hop Thanh) shared: "Having this disease is very painful, so early detection and treatment is best. Recently, there has been a lot of propaganda on the commune loudspeaker about tuberculosis prevention, so I reminded my whole family to bring their children for screening and get medicine to prevent the disease."

The project "Breath of Life" has been implemented throughout the district since the beginning of March and has so far received enthusiastic response from the people.

This activity aims to help prevent and early detect people with latent tuberculosis, helping people feel secure in their daily life and production.
