Yen Thanh district collects 226 billion VND from land auctions.
(Baonghean.vn) - From the beginning of 2018 to the present, all 39 communes and towns in Yen Thanh district have exploited land resources through auctions, totaling over 1,200 land plots with a total winning bid amount and registration fees exceeding 226 billion VND.
In particular, many communes had high revenue from auctioning land use rights, such as Tan Thanh, which auctioned 32 lots and earned 17 billion VND; Bac Thanh, which auctioned 36 lots and earned over 22 billion VND; and Hong Thanh, which auctioned 31 lots and earned 15 billion VND…

This year, the target was 180 billion VND, but in the first nine months, Yen Thanh district achieved 226 billion VND from land auctions (exceeding the target by 49 billion VND). Notably, this year, winning bidders paid directly into the state budget through accounts at the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank or other commercial banks, instead of through the temporary holding account of the District Finance Department as in previous years, thus speeding up the land collection process.
Reportedly, the resurgence of the real estate market in Yen Thanh can be attributed to the improved living standards of the people, with many returning from overseas employment to purchase land. Along convenient rural roads, there is a greater demand for land for commercial and service businesses.
Mr. Thai Huu An, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Yen Thanh district, added: To curb land brokers, the district has implemented solutions such as setting starting land prices close to market prices and educating people about legal regulations against cooperating with land brokers.
The district also established a district-level monitoring team to closely follow the auctions in order to promptly correct and handle violations, while mobilizing security forces to protect before, during, and after the land auctions.
Nam Dan District is allowed to use 100% of the proceeds from land auctions.
