Yen Thanh: Over 6,000 students vaccinated against Measles - Rubella

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 4, the Health sector of Yen Thanh district deployedvaccinationroomMeasles-Rubellabatch 1giveabove300011th and 12th grade studentsin high schoolssouthern part of the district.

To ensure the school schedule for students, Yen Thanh Health Department has coordinated with schools to organize vaccinations right at the schools. At the same time, mobilized over 120 staff, nurses and doctors to check health before vaccination and prevent shock after vaccination.

According to the plan, Yen Thanh district will organize 2 vaccinations for over 6,000 students in grades 11 and 12 in high schools and vocational colleges of industry and agriculture. Accordingly, the first vaccination will be organized on April 4 and 5 for schools in the southern part of the district. The second vaccination will be on April 12 and 13 for students in schools in the northern part of Yen Thanh.

This is a measles-rubella vaccination campaign following two previous measles-rubella vaccination campaigns for people aged 1-14 years old, aiming to reduce the incidence of the disease, reduce the disease burden of congenital rubella syndrome, and contribute to the goal of eliminating measles and rubella in the community.
