Yen Thanh: Over 6,000 students vaccinated against Measles - Rubella

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 4, the Yen Thanh district health sector deployedvaccinationroomMeasles-Rubellabatch 1giveabove3.00011th and 12th grade studentsin high schoolssouthern district.

To ensure the school schedule for students, Yen Thanh Health Department coordinated with schools to organize vaccinations right at schools. At the same time, mobilized over 120 staff, nurses and doctors to check health before vaccination and prevent shock after vaccination.

According to the plan, Yen Thanh district will organize 2 vaccinations for over 6,000 students in grades 11 and 12 at high schools and vocational colleges of industry and agriculture. Accordingly, the first vaccination will be organized on April 4 and 5 for schools in the southern part of the district. The second vaccination will be organized on April 12 and 13 for students in schools in the northern part of Yen Thanh.

This is a measles-rubella vaccination campaign following two previous measles-rubella vaccination campaigns for children aged 1-14 years old, aiming to reduce the incidence of the disease, reduce the burden of congenital rubella syndrome, and contribute to the goal of eliminating measles and rubella in the community.
