Yen Tu will offer free admission for three years starting in 2026 after receiving UNESCO recognition.
Quang Ninh province has officially implemented a policy of free entrance to the Yen Tu Relic Complex from 2026 to the end of 2028 as a token of gratitude to visitors and to promote the world heritage site.
The Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council has just passed an important resolution on waiving entrance fees to the Yen Tu Historical and Scenic Complex. This preferential policy will be applied continuously for 3 years, starting from the beginning of 2026 until the end of 2028.
Expressing gratitude to the community and celebrating World Cultural Heritage.
The decision to offer free admission was made to express gratitude to the people, monks, Buddhists, and visitors from all over the world. These are the people who have made immense contributions to the preservation, maintenance, and documentation process that helped the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments be officially recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site on July 12, 2025.
Furthermore, offering free entry also acts as a catalyst for tourism, helping to widely promote the image of Yen Tu – known as the "ancestral land" of Truc Lam Buddhism. This is a strategic step to build the brand of Quang Ninh as a destination boasting two proud world heritage sites.
