The Forest Protection Department has issued a document requesting the heads of the Forest Protection Units in Dien Chau, Quynh Luu - Hoang Mai, Nghi Loc, and Vinh - Cua Lo to conduct an inspection and verify the information reflected in the article "Wild birds still find their way... to the market" published in Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television.

On November 5th, the Forest Protection Department issued Document No. 1090/KL-TTPC regarding strengthening inspection and handling of violations related to wildlife, addressed to the heads of subordinate units.

Accordingly, the Forest Protection Department has recently received several reports regarding the trapping, catching, and trading of wild and migratory birds in the province.

To further promote wildlife protection, the Forest Protection Department requests that heads of subordinate units strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people not to hunt, shoot, trap, capture, exterminate, or consume wild animals and migratory birds; and to organize patrols, inspections, and handle violations in accordance with the law.

Strictly implement the documents of the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Forest Protection Sub-Department regarding the implementation of Plan No. 628/KH-BCA-BNN&MT dated October 17, 2025, of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on coordinating the organization of propaganda, combating, and handling to contribute to preventing violations of the law related to the protection of wild animals and aquatic resources in Vietnam.

Also in Document No. 1090/KL-TTPC dated November 5, 2025, the Forest Protection Department requested the Heads of the Forest Protection Units of Dien Chau, Quynh Luu - Hoang Mai, Nghi Loc, and Vinh - Cua Lo to direct and coordinate with relevant units to inspect and verify the information reflected in the Nghe An Newspaper and radio and television reports in the article "Wild birds still find their way... to the market.Published on baonghean.vn on November 3, 2025, violations will be handled according to legal regulations; a report on the implementation results will be submitted before November 10, 2025.

According to a representative of the Forest Protection Department, on October 17, 2025, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment signed Plan No. 628/KH-BCA-BNN&MT on coordinating the organization of propaganda, combating, and handling to help prevent violations of laws related to the protection of wild animals and aquatic resources in Vietnam. On October 21, 2025, the Forestry and Forest Protection Department issued Official Letter No. 2180/LNKL-DN on the implementation of the coordination plan between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Forest Protection Sub-Department subsequently issued documents (Official Letter No. 9555/SNNMT.KL dated October 22, 2025, Official Letter No. 1023/KL-TTPC dated October 25, 2025) to implement Plan No. 628/KH-BCA-BNN&MT of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Specifically, it is requested that subordinate units closely coordinate with police agencies at all levels, local authorities, and relevant organizations and individuals to thoroughly understand the situation in their areas, review and compile statistics on individuals involved, and promptly detect hotspots for hunting, trapping, trading, and transporting wild animals and migratory birds; the use of banned chemicals, poisons, explosives, electric shocks, and destructive fishing gear; and social media platforms and online groups involved in the trading and sale of endangered and rare wild animals, migratory birds, and aquatic species.

Develop plans to organize intensive patrols, raids, and regular and surprise inspections to detect, prevent, and promptly handle violations related to wildlife and protect aquatic resources. Focus on key areas such as national parks, nature reserves, estuaries, and coastal lagoons frequently home to wildlife and migratory birds; and markets, trading hubs, restaurants, and eateries with a high risk of or signs of consuming wildlife.

Organize legal education and awareness campaigns to encourage people not to hunt, shoot, trap, capture, exterminate, or consume wild animals and migratory birds; not to use banned chemicals, poisons, explosives, electric shocks, or destructive fishing gear to exploit aquatic resources. Launch a mass movement to encourage public participation in reporting and preventing related violations of the law; a movement such as "No hunting - No consumption - Protect wild animals, migratory birds, protect aquatic resources"... Establish hotlines or other appropriate methods to receive information and handle feedback and suggestions from organizations and individuals.

The representative from the Forest Protection Department added that, recently, the Provincial Police and the Department of Agriculture and Environment have drafted a plan to implement Plan No. 628/KH-BCA-BNN&MT of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. Currently, the draft plan has been submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval for implementation. It is expected that from November to the end of December 2025 will be a peak period of propaganda, combating, and handling violations of the law related to the protection of wild animals, migratory birds, and aquatic resources in the province.
