YouTube Android Error: YouTube playback speed feature not working
YouTube users on Android devices are experiencing a bug that prevents them from changing the playback speed of their videos. As of Tuesday afternoon, when trying to select a speed other than the default 1x, the system is not remembering the setting. Even if you adjust the slider or select one of the available speed levels, exiting and replaying the video still returns it to the original 1x speed.

The bug appears in both the official and beta versions.
The issue was noted on both Android versions of YouTube:
Stable version: 20.28.39
Beta version: 20.29.39
YouTube Music is unaffected, and podcast playback speed adjustment still works normally.
