1,000 children in Quynh Luu are screened for congenital diseases

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 2, Quynh Luu district coordinated with the Provincial Children's Fund and Hoan My Hospital (Da Nang) to organize a free screening program for children with congenital diseases in the district.

About 1,000 children from 1 to 16 years old in the district with signs and symptoms of congenital heart disease, cleft lip, cleft palate, eye defects, motor disabilities... will be examined by doctors at Hoan My Hospital (Da Nang), conduct tests, and determine the severity of the disease.

This is an annual activity coordinated by Quynh Luu district to create conditions for children in mountainous, coastal and educational areas to be screened for congenital diseases for free. After determining the level of the disease, children who meet the health and physical conditions will have their records made for free surgery.

The cost of minor and major surgeries is partly sponsored by the Children's Support Fund, Hoan My Hospital and from the district's socialized resources./.
