1,442 excellent students of Vinh University admitted to the Party

(Baonghean) -During the 2012 - 2017 term, Vinh University's Youth Union introduced 1,442 outstanding student union members to the Party organization, leading the university block in the country.

To achieve that result, first of all, it must be affirmed that the Party Committee of Vinh University always puts the work of developing party members among students as one of the top important tasks; from there, there have been solutions to direct the School Youth Union and Student Association to have activity programs to create an environment for students to participate, contribute, and practice in addition to academic results.

In particular, to ensure the quality of the admission of new Party members, the Youth Union of Vinh University has advised the Party Committee to issue Guidelines on the standards and procedures for admitting applicants to the Party and considering converting probationary Party members into official Party members. In particular, for students with an average academic score of 8.0 or higher and having at least one Certificate of Merit from the school level or higher. For full-time students, the academic results from the beginning of the course up to the time of consideration must be from 2.90 or higher (according to the credit training score) and have at least one Certificate of Merit from the school level or higher.

As for graduate students, only those who have continuously studied from undergraduate to postgraduate level at the school will be considered for admission. The exam scores for general subjects and specialized subjects must be from 7.5 points or higher at the time of consideration and have at least one Certificate of Merit from the school level or higher.

The issuance of standards that incorporate both academic and performance criteria has set goals for students to strive to join the Party's ranks.

Dinh Thi Ngoc Hang - Student of class 55, Faculty of Political Education is one of them. Passionate about social activities, when becoming a student of Vinh University, Hang was not only active in studying but also actively participated in the movements of the Youth Union and Student Association, receiving many Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Student Association, and the School Board of Directors.

This student also won many awards for studying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology at school and provincial levels. Studying, practicing and dedicating herself with youthful enthusiasm, the Political Science student was recognized, nurtured by teachers, friends, and organizations and honored to be in the Party's ranks.

“Being a party member helps me to be more aware of my role and responsibility in all activities to study and contribute more. Along with that, being a student admitted to the Party in school is also a favorable factor to help us find job opportunities and assert ourselves in the community,” Hang confidently shared.

According to the assessment, the pioneering and exemplary role of student party members after being admitted has been promoted, having a positive effect on the work of the Youth Union and Association. The school's Youth Union was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Youth Union in the summary of the Campaign "Youth Union members strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam" in the period 2008 - 2013. The students who are party members after graduation have also made worthy contributions to the locality and work unit.
