Specifically, Mr. Lau Chia Mua, born in 1968, residing in Pieng Vai village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, was repairing a homemade rifle at home when, due to carelessness, the gun accidentally discharged, causing Mr. Mua to die instantly. This serious incident stemmed from the local people's continued habit of possessing and using homemade firearms.
It is known that, in recent times, in order to prevent the dangers of homemade guns, My Ly Border Guard Station has actively coordinated with all levels, sectors and local Party committees and authorities to propagate and mobilize the people to recover hundreds of muzzle-loading guns.
