10 years of the program 'Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing'
(Baonghean.vn) - In 10 years of implementation, the "Tet Sum Vay" program of Nghe An Trade Union has taken care of more than 150 thousand union members and workers with a total budget of nearly 97 billion VND.
From a policy
The “Tet Sum Vay” program was first organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2014, on the occasion of the Year of the Horse. At that time, the program was only organized in a few localities, on a small scale. However, with its profound humanitarian meaning, the program received enthusiastic support from all levels of trade unions, union members, workers, organizations and individuals in society.
Since 2015, the programTet Sum Vayhas been organized in all provinces and cities across the country, with an increasingly large scale. Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation promptly issued a document to survey the living conditions and employment of workers; issued a plan to organize Tet reunion and visit, give gifts, and subsidize workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Lunar New Year, and at the same time guided and directed the Labor Federations of districts, cities, towns, industry unions, and affiliated grassroots unions to implement throughout the system.

Since the General Confederation of Labor's policy in 2014, all levels of the provincial Labor Union have spent VND96 billion 988.5 million on Tet care, with more than 150,000 union members and workers benefiting. Of which, the provincial Labor Confederation has organized 26 provincial-level "Tet Sum Vay" programs for nearly 6,000 workers in difficult circumstances, and subsidized more than 7,000 workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year, with a total amount of more than VND9 billion (7 billion VND from operating funds and mobilized more than 2 billion VND from socialized sources).
The District, City, Town Labor Federations and Industry Trade Unions have organized 54 "Tet Sum Vay" events at the district and industry levels for more than 6,000 workers in difficult circumstances, and provided subsidies to more than 12,000 workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year, with a total amount of more than 18 billion VND (11 billion VND from operating funds and more than 7 billion VND from socialized sources), The grassroots trade unions and enterprises have spent more than 69 billion VND to take care of workers, with more than 120,000 workers benefiting, of which nearly 25 billion VND came from the grassroots trade union's operating budget and 44 billion VND from the enterprise's support and social mobilization...
The annual "Tet Sum Vay" program from the provincial and district levels to the enterprises is organized more effectively each year than the previous year, with more and more new features in the organization content. In addition to giving gifts and ceremonies in the hall, there are also festivals, art programs to welcome the Spring, games, lucky draws, lucky money... for workers, to take care of their spiritual life. The time of organization is suitable for the working conditions of workers, the festival and ceremony are allocated appropriate time, and the activities proceed according to plan. The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee are interested in attending and giving New Year greetings to workers, the delegates are interested in attending fully; the provincial departments, branches, and organizations coordinate well; the enterprises are interested in and arrange for workers to attend fully, workers enthusiastically respond to participate in recreational activities, competitions, arts, lucky draws...
In particular, Tet Sum Vay 2023 with the theme“Tet reunion - Spring connection”and practically welcome the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels for the 2023-2028 term, Nghe An Trade Unions at all levels spent more than 39,364 billion VND to take care of Tet for nearly 10,000 workers to enjoy. In addition, activities to care for both material and spiritual needs of union members and workers were given attention with many innovative and practical forms. The Provincial Labor Federation directly organized the Program“Workers' Day - Welcome the Year of the Cat2023", at the program of giving gifts to 1,000 outstanding workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of 1.04 billion VND; Awarding Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 30 outstanding workers; awarding 7 Trade Union Shelters; organizing 8 Discount booths and games, lucky draws, union member welfare as well as a New Year's Eve performance program to create a joyful, warm and exciting atmosphere for union members and workers...
Taking care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024
Since the beginning of December 2023, the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued a Plan to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 with many practical activities under the motto "AllDUnion members and workers all have Tet”.
At the provincial level, the Provincial Labor Federation organized the program "Tet sum vay, Xuan chia chia" for 350 workers of the units: Industry and Trade, Construction, Transport, Nam Dan district and Cua Lo town. At the same time, directed the organization of the program "Tet sum vay - Xuan chia chia" at 5 district-level locations for provincial leaders to give gifts to workers; subsidize about 1,300 workers in difficult circumstances/500 thousand VND/person of the units providing financial compensation.
In addition, implementing the Trade Union Tet Market Program of the General Confederation of Labor, accordingly, 3,000 workers will be supported with a shopping card worth 300,000 VND each; developing a plan to welcome workers back to their hometowns for Tet on "zero-VND flights" at Vinh airport from December 27-29 of the lunar calendar. At the same time, directing the Labor Federations at district and industry levels to organize care for workers in difficult circumstances from the Trade Union budget and mobilize socialization, it is expected that about 23,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances will be taken care of...
It can be seen that the care for Tet for workers, especially the organization of the "Tet Sum Vay" programs in recent years by the Trade Union organization has a truly profound humanitarian meaning.
